The advertisment shown on E4 / E4+1 of GHD Straightners use persuasive language to attract viewer into buying their product with a soft tone of voice showing images of looking superior to others around you. The advert shows you images of how it feels to look good by using GHDs'. It uses the theory of esteem needs to build your won confidence as shown by the woman in the advertisment.
The story line of the advertisment catches the viewers attention to continue watching the advert to see what they are selling. if the viewer is a female and interest would show because as the product is directed for females. As the advert continues the language and the superior women in the advert would make the the viewer desire to be like them. This would then make the viewer hopefully puchase the product and making the advertisment a success.
The advertisement shows that this product is used for women only because the characters in the advert were only females useing the product. They were matured women however they way they used the product was to make them feel good about them self to look beautiful and confident.

Issues raised against the GHD advert was the religious language was used 'Thou shall not'. the advert had made its own twist to the 10 commandments that christians believe strongly about and GHD and re-worded them to promote their language. They way it was used also to promoting things such as sex and violence e.g 'Thou shall not steal her best friends boyfriend' showing a women and a man in a sexual way also, 'Thou shall not use her sisters things without asking' showing two sisters fighting but also wearing a minimum amount of clothes.This showed women in a negative way of dealing and presenting them selves.
Because the advert was shown on E4/ E4 + 1 it would reflect on the viewers that watch E4 if they would continously show it on this channel it must be applying to the females that would want to make them selves feel good from something that will make them look beautiful on the outside rather than the inside.
