What techniques does this trailer use to persuade an audience to see the film?
The techniques used in the new moon trailer to persuade an audience to watch the film is the fast movement of the shots in it.In the trailer a minimal view of what the film is about is shown and in the new moon trailer you must keep up with what is happening because it moves quickly telling you that the film will involve in a lot of drama and action scenes. As this is happening characters voice are in the background to translate on what could possibly be going on from their scripts. The audience will automatically want to know what exactly is happening and why it is. This happens to make the viewer want to watch the film even more. The soundtrack for the trailer is a fast upbeat sound to along with what is happening however it is a non-digetic sound because it is put into place after production in the editing process of the trailer. Towards the end of the trailer after all the exciting scenes with fast music, the trailer goes quiet as it ends. This happens so that the audience can feel suspense and reflect on whether they will watch the film or not. The trailer also mentions that the film was also a book previously that was awarded worlds best seller, which credits the film.
